In a colourful world of distorted guitars and hazy melodies, the first full lengh album from Lê Almeida entitled Mono Maçã was born.
Recorded with unusual calm and pace between the shows to promote his REVI EP (also released by Viny Land Records) and the co-production with Paulo Casaes of Babe Florida’s album Vol.1 and Top Surprise’s Everything Must Go, Mono Maça builds on the foundations of REVI, adding more sound diversity, psychedelic accents and further drum experimentations on a 4 track K7 porta-studio.
The influences range from Neil Young to 90s indiepop like Eric’s Trip, Pavement, Built to Spill and Guided By Voices. All instruments were once again recorded by Lê. New themes like Ufology, death and alcohol have been added to the usual friends like love and bicycles.
Definitely another indiepop gem from the lo-fi maestro from the Baixada Fluminense, limited to 500 copies worldwide, made possible by a partnership between Vinyl Land, Transfusão Noise and Midsummer Madness Records.
